Ivory Coast or Côte d’Ivoire, officially the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, is a country located on the south coast of West Africa. Ivory Coast’s political capital is Yamoussoukro in the center of the country, while its economic capital and largest city is the port city of Abidjan. It borders Guinea and Liberia to the west, Burkina Faso and Mali to the north, Ghana to the east, and the Gulf of Guinea (Atlantic Ocean) to the south.

There would be only a Long-term category to apply for work authorisation (work card) in Ivory Coast. Allowed to commence work in terms of a Business Visa but only for up to 3 months, during which time Work and Residence Card applications to be submitted. Estimate Processing time would be 2 – 4 weeks

A foreign national has to obtain an Ivorian Medical Certificate to apply for the Work Card.

The validity is up to a maximum duration of 1 year and can be renewed for further periods of up to 1 year.

A Residence Authorisation can be obtained in-country upon obtaining the Work Card. The applicant should be in-country for at least 3 months. An original Birth Certificates must be presented when applying for a Residence Card.

Processing time would be approximately 15 days and can be valid for up to 5 years.

Yes, however, this is dependent on the renewal of the Work Card.

A foreign national must obtain an Ivorian Police Record (older than 18 years of age) and Certificate of Residence for the Residence Card application.

Certifications, Police Records and Certificates of Residence documents cannot be older than 3 months at the date of submission of an application. All documents are to be translated into French.

Yes, a Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is required.
