The top German Mountainbiking Marathon team, Centurion-Vaude, consisting of both German and Austrian national champions, is looking for a sponsor for its South African activities. Most urgently, the team requires a sponsor for the Cape Epic race in March 2017.

Wunschbild_IMG_7740The Centurion-Vaude team is one of the worlds top rated MTB teams, generally the shoo-in and crowd favourite with results that speak for themselves, including the 5 in a row winners of the legendary Transalp race.

Transalp is the worlds second most important MTB stage race after the Cape Epic.

At the 2016 Cape Epic they achieved second place with 4 of the teams athletes placed among the top 10 at the world championship.

The team has high expectations of the Cape Epic – they want to win the race and are well prepared to achieve this. They have two great leaders, the best backup and support team trained to perfection.

Currently, a sponsor active in the South African market, which understands the scope and benefits of a sports sponsorship is still missing. The teams current partnership to a South African company dissolved in the last minute, hence the opportunity now for (local) companies to become supporters/partners.

First and foremost, the media presence at the Cape Epic is enormous, the stage race being reported for 8 days all over the world. Obviously South Africa reporting the most, followed by German speaking areas, even channels not directly related to sports, such as the German channel ZDF. Furthermore, payback and large image boost are guaranteed.

Cycling and mountain biking are more popular than ever in South Africa, but even in developed countries like Germany, cycling sports including racing, mountain biking or E-Bike have experienced a significant boom.

People from middle to upper management levels are generally the top market share for cycling. The new commitment of big German companies like Bora (kitchen manufacturer) and Hansgrohe (sanitary fittings manufacturer) prove that a sponsorship in cycling is currently very attractive and profitable. They sponsor a Tour de France team including world champion Peter Sagan.

The partnership would consist of all the contents of a normal sports sponsorship. The team acts all over the world. Beside the Cape Epic the team is also taking part in many other races in South Africa in September and October 2017.
