In Southern Africa there are different types of visa to apply for if you are intending to work for a longer period, usually more than 6 months, e.g. by obtaining a specified employment or due to an intra-company transfer or secondment. If you are going to work for the same branch or company, because you are an expert and your company needs your skills abroad for a longer period for example in Angola you need to apply for an Entry Work Permit. The application process takes about 20 working days and can be submitted at the Angola Embassy in South Africa or Consular. All English documents should be translated into Portuguese and authenticated. The applicants have to be present for fingerprinting on submission. The Angolan work visa is valid for a period of 12 month and can be prorogued for equal periods of time up to the term of the work contract.
